Week 14B Social Media Management Tools

I checked out my classmate Denise Allen's blog and found that she preferred Hootsuite.  She was using Hootsuite when it was free, before it became popular and offered different price points for managing social media.  Some of the price points are very high, such as business price being over $739 per month but there were some more affordable price points at around $50 per month which is still an investment and must be for someone with a strategy and goals.

Another blog I checked out was Tawni Bernard.  She found that the top social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Zoho and Sprout Social were all similar in that they provided management for multiple social media platforms.  She found that Hootsuite is the most widely known for its analytics. She also noted that many softwares offer a free trial, but after the trial is over, the prices can be expensive.

For myself, I would initially want to try Hootsuite because it seems to be very popular, however at my beginner level it may not make sense.  I only utilize a few social media platforms at this time and my following is not large enough to truly benefit from the great analytics it provides.  I would like to try Sprout Social since it seems to be for accounts that are trying to grow a following.  I hope I get to a point where this type of tool is necessary and I have the type of online traffic that would warrant paying for the analytics.
