Week 3 Part B Developing a Brand
Developing my Brand:
My business is Zen Boutique, a mental health and wellness safe place. The focus of the business is to bring peace to people in a hectic world where connection can be challenging. The colors of the brand are natural, neutral colors with whites, greens, browns. The goal is to remove all the over stimulating colors and things people are used to seeing in our world today.
Zen Boutique focuses on mental health first and foremost. When we say the word “health” the goal is for people to immediately acknowledge that this also means mental health. There is still so much stigma surrounding mental health and the goal of Zen Boutique is to offer that safe place.
Although I have not created a logo yet, I want a logo that is impactful yet simple and peaceful. I want it to be a symbol for peace in colors which are pleasing to the eye, nothing bright and overstimulating.
My goal is when people see my logo, they associate it with a platform where they can read blogs or watch videos about mental health issues and just a place where people can speak about it. The goal is that there is a positive focus and when a person reaches out they are met with empathy and encouragement on their path.
When I see icons of apps on my phone, I associate it with a certain thing. Instagram is bright and I know when I go on there I’m going to be met with bright images of things and I will be entertained or captured to pay attention in some way. When people see my icon I want people to associate it with rest. Like ok let me click on this icon and go into a place of calm and empathy.
