Small california based Non profit organization providing therapeutic services and financial assistance to children with physical disabilities and neurological disorders.
No social media links visibly present on website except for some embedded YouTube videos with interviews with the organization. Upon google searching, a Facebook and YouTube come up. Facebook page has 801 likes and 787 followers. The last post was one day ago. Over the last year there are 1-2 posts per month. Not much engagement, but the posts are mostly about events. YouTube has 13 subscribers. The last video uploaded was 7 years ago.
I will actually be working with this group now as the social media manager. Overall I see a lot of room for growth with the website and Facebook. The website doesn’t have links to any social media except for the embedded YouTube videos. That will need to be added. I just created an Instagram and added the link to the Facebook. I’d like to create posts to have a place where people can engage with topics and answer questions. I’d like to get to know our followers. I’d also like to start a TikTok.

New local restaurant in leucadia started by my friends. They had issues with the space they leased so they are not open yet. They’ve been doing some recent pop up events that were very successful and drew a lot of attention. Their signature dish is a fried chicken sandwich.
When I went to the website I was sad to see there are no links to social media. There is a simple about us description. I wish there was more. I searched for social media and found their Instagram. 5030 followers. Really good for a restaurant that hasn’t even opened yet. The last post was January 24th. There is some interaction with comments but not a lot.
My analysis for my friends social media is there is so much opportunity. I know they have someone doing their Instagram posts. They pay a flat fee monthly for a certain amount of posts. They need more help. I saw in the comments people asking about merchandise and food. This is an opportunity to sell merchandise and keep the followers updated on their pop up schedule.

Foundation centered around a rare condition called Angelman syndrome. This is a National site but may have connections internationally.
On their website they have links to Facebook, twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube. Pinterest is hardly used, there are 389 followers and it looks like the last post was in 2014. Facebook has 25k followers. The last post was today. Instagram has 5k the last post was today. YouTube has 1.9k the last post was a few days ago. Twitter has about 3.4K and the last post was 6 days ago.
They are actively utilizing their website, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. There isn’t much engagement. There were a few comments on an Instagram post and it would be nice to see a like or reply from the foundation. It looks like they could use some help on their social media.

This is a US based organization with international reach and influence. Social media links are on the website. Twitter has 96.9k followers the last post was February 2nd. Instagram has 154k last post was 4 days ago. Facebook 908k last post 3 days ago.
It looks like they cross post the same post to all of the social media. Wish they would come up with some more content and post more often. They get comments on their posts and I don’t see any engagement. That is a opportunity to connect with their followers.

This is a local newspaper covering a variety of topics including news, lifestyle and food. They have links to their social media on their website. Their Facebook has 6.5k followers the last post was today. Their Instagram has 6 followers and has never been used, no posts.
It looks like they only use Facebook to post their news stories. There is hardly any engagement or comments. They are missing out on the chance to connect with locals and get feedback, leads and story ideas. They could really use some help.
Now that I have done some research I realize every organization has its areas of opportunity. I have not seen one example where a company was great at every single type of social media. I see a lot of areas to grow for these organizations. It’s easier to see it from the outside looking in. I’m sure it’s easy to let some things slip through the cracks.
I was especially surprised at the lack of links and information and content on my friends restaurant business. I was hoping to see them connecting online with people since they are so good connecting with people in person.
One thing about being good at selling your product or service in person is you can direct the customer to your social media and keep them informed and engaged. For example you could ask a customer to leave you a yelp review or ask them to reach out on social media and have a contest or giveaway or something.
